Experience: More than two decades
Rajeev Dwivedi is truly a multi-faceted personality. He is a Software Engineer by profession and Alumnus of Center for Development of Advance computing (C-DAC), LUCKNOW UNIVERSITY and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Holding an M.Sc in electronics (Physics) from Lucknow University, he has also been a journalist with publications such as The Times of India and The Hindu from 1993 to 2002.
He has focused on an art of storytelling and creating narratives that are close to the grass root and address to the psyche of a commoner and therefore are close to real life. He has brought out majors in the industry through Live Pixel Technologies with his vast experience of more than two decades in content creation for various platforms and experiential content for Museums and experience centres pan India and abroad.
As an intrepid entrepreneur and a media man to the core, he set up his first company, Indian Academy of Arts and Animation Private Limited in 2003 and served as Board of Director and Technical Director. His development of the software for colorization of motion pictures was well applauded with praise and appreciation for presenting all time evergreen classic cult art piece “Mughal-e-Azam” in its various hues bringing out the splendor of the movie in its truest form. . Since then, several international classics have been colorized under his aegis, including Sherlock Holmes series, Laurel and Hardy series, World War II series and more than 100 war documentaries for international broadcaster viz National Geographic, Discovery, NETFLIX, BBC and French TV to name a few.
His vision to foray into digital content creation has got him the opportunity to become the most preferred partner with DISCOVERY EDUCATION in 2017 to create science content from school to higher education thereby generating thousands of minutes of digital content.
His publication Animation Today, a monthly magazine has been the leading publication through the Asia-Pacific region and the only one on the subject in the Indian subcontinent, catering to the needs of professionals, students and the booming AVGC industry in the country. He also sits as Board Member of many companies, including Whiteboard Entertainment and few CSR initiatives on digital education.
He was appointed the Production-in-Charge of Children’s Film Society, under I & B Ministry, Government of India from Nov 2010 to June 2012. Later on, he was given additional charge of Marketing and has been Technical Advisor of CFSI. He has handled 17th International Children Film Festival of India better known as “Golden Elephant” in a capacity of Production Head and Technical Advisor in 2011.
He is Council Member of Gerson Lehrman Group based in Austin, TX and also Global Consultant of Primary Insight Consulting Group to consult projects globally in Technology space in Media and Entertainment segment especially in Film Archive, Film technology, restoration, colorization, Post studio and Broadcasting and distribution.
